Week of October 10th, 2016 | Trick or Treat + The 13 Best Halloween Tees on Teepublic

October means Scary Movies, chilly weather and Trick or Treating with adorable horrific costumes. As you know New York ComicCon was this past weekend, and there was some pretty strong cosplay going on. So much in fact that I think they could definitely inspire some amazing costumes this year. Especially this one from @yaldamn Such an amazing Stranger Things costume of "Will's Mom"  I absolutely love it!

I'd love to know what you all have going on for your costumes this year so leave a comment below or better yet, leave a photo if you have one. I'm a total geek when it comes to cosplay, I can very much appreciate the time and effort that goes into it. So I would love to see what you guys and girls got in the works.

This past Monday I couldn't help but put BB-8 in a costume and send the little droid trick or treating with a Stormtrooper Candy Bucket! 'Trick or Treat' is now available on my Teepublic shop in a variety of styles and colors. You're probably saying right now that you're closet is full of nerdy goodness and there's no way I can fit anything else in there. I get it. Don't get a shirt this time...how about a notebook, or a coffee mug, or start decorating your walls for Halloween with a print. I know it's too awesome to handle and your head is going to explode, but before that happens go check out the shop and pick up this new design, you'll love it!

You know what you'll love even more? My curated collection of the 13 Best Halloween Tees on Teepublic. This is a great collection by some pretty talented artists.  Naturally #1 falls into the Star Wars fandom of course and to make these tees easy to purchase click directly on the shirt you love below! I definitely encourage you to check out their own artist pages for more amazing designs not Halloween related too. Week of June 13th, 2016 | LANGUAGE!! KC Derby Girls + Try To Stick Together

Captain America might not be lovin' one of the new T-Shirt designs this week (Language, people!), but these Kansas City Derby Girls are ready to class up the track with this one.

This week a few Warriors in Training requested a design they could intimidate some future opponents with, while still staying a little classy.  It started off with sketches of some key elements in the Derby world. A Unicorn and roller skates. Because Roller Derby girls are one-of-a-kind, beautiful, magical creatures kickin' butt in some old school skates.

Roller Derby Unicorn and Roller Skates Sketch Jlane Design

As usual, after the sketching is done, it all gets scanned in to the computer and where it all magically transforms into the final design below. Ok, there's some skill involved in the process, but everyone assumes it's magic so I don't want to kill their dreams.

"Derby Boss" is now available in my Redbubble shop in a variety of styles and colors. If you're looking for other ways to intimidate your opponent off the track, check out some other products below. Stickers, mugs and a killer backpack to throw your skates in, plus a lot more.

So grab some new gear, class up your training sessions and intimidate the crap out of those other girls!

Since the Roller Derby Shirt was a special request this week, I decided to fulfill another special request from a fan all the way from the UK. That's right, there's one more T-shirt release this week and it's gonna look really familiar too. I also feel like it's following in theme this week with the Roller Derby girls new shirt.  Roller Derby is a team sport for sure, and it encourages women to work together, boost each other's self confidence and I definitely think it helps teach women to be strong and independent. Much like our beloved female heroines in Star Wars.

I know you've all seen the "Don't Rescue Me" and "Don't Hold My Hand" t-shirt designs I've released this year. I have to say these two are my favorite ones by far and apparently yours too. I love hearing from my fans and seeing their posts, wearing these designs. It makes my heart happy, because it sends such a positive message to women of all ages.

Awhile back I received an email from an awesome fan from the UK, named Emma. Her and her best friend loved these designs so much, that they wanted to see if I would be able to combine both onto one shirt! I couldn't resist fulfilling the heartwarming request. So along with these designs still being available on individual shirts, they are now available together on one shirt! Princess Leia and Rey, our true female rebels.

"Stick Together" is now available on my Teepublic shop in a variety of styles and colors. The best part is it's also on sale all weekend long, so grab it for a great deal while you can.

So a BIG THANKS to superfan Emma! I hope you love it as much as I do! Also a huge thanks to the Kansas City Roller Derby Warriors in Training!! I hope you kick some major butt in these new tees and tanks! Feel free to post photos of your awesome items when you get them!!

Make sure you're following me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter cause next month (July) I'm doing a BIG giveaway that you definitely don't want to miss out on.

What an awesome way to end the week, making some amazing fans super happy! Until next week, May The Force Be With You, ALL!

Week of March 21st, 2016 | TeeFury Friends, Squad Goals + A Good Friday!

Good Friday?...Great Friday!! A lot of great things have been happening here in the studio this week and I'm so ready to share what's been going on. There's a new shirt release, one of my designs made into a collection over at TeeFury.com and I got a new Nerd Block box today that I'll be sharing with you all next week. Exciting stuff here people, I know you're dying to hear all the details.

Let's start with some new friends and the amazing TeeFury collection I get to be apart of this coming week.  Have you ever heard someone say that every single little thing has to line up in order for something bigger to happen? I'm sure you've heard some version of this theory.  Let's just say, I tested it...and it's totally true.

I made a decision to not post for the past couple weeks, because I needed a creative recharge.  I also joined a Facebook Group for badass female creatives. This is where it really gets good, follow the timeline.  Joined super awesome supportive creative group. Organizer ( Allison ) posts a blog about "Why the @$&* Not Me?" and how to have a successful mind set to go after your dreams. I read said blog post. I am inspired by said blog post.  I then see an amazingly talented Graphic Designer I follow on Instagram post a call for artists. (Tee artists to be exact) I get super excited, then fear and doubt quickly rush in to make sure I don't do anything stupid and tell me "no...there are way more talented people out there that will be chosen, don't waste your time." Ugh. I close Instagram. Five minutes later I remember inspiring blog post.  Email sent to the Graphic Designer with my work, then 4 days later...yeah...it totally happened. They picked one of my designs to be in a new collection on TeeFury.com   Now here I am, promoting my design on a new T-Shirt site and the welcoming committee has been amazing. I've had the chance to connect with a bunch of new artists and feel more apart of that community. See how all those little things had to happen first though? What if I didn't recharge? What if I didn't join THAT Facebook group, what if it was another. What if the organizer never posted that blog on that morning? In short, just do it...when in doubt, remind yourself "Why the @$&* Not Me?" So a big thank you to Allison and CoDdesigns for the inspiration and support!

Let me provide you with all the info you need to check out this amazing collection.  This collection on TeeFury was curated by an amazing designer CoDdesigns. His stuff is awesome definitely give him a follow on Instagram and Facebook. The link below will take you to the collection and all the talented designers that got to be featured in it. You'll see my "Don't Hold My Hand" Design on there...and you know that Boba Fett in their Graphic Ad looks familiar. The collection runs for a week at a great price for all designs. Go indulge and treat yourself with something nerdy!

With all that amazingness happening this week, I felt inspired to finally finish my Squad Goals Series.  I started off the series with a Harley Quinn inspired design, called "The Psycho" and then added in "The Cat". This week I finished off the series with "The Poison"...yes...a Poison Ivy inspired design. Here's all three in the new Squad Goals series.

Here's a few sketch pieces for "The Poison" design. All three designs are now available on my Teepublic shop. "The Poison" design will be on sale all weekend with tons of styles and colors to choose from, as well as iPhone cases and prints!

If you're looking for some great gear for Con season and summer. There's more products available on my Redbubble shop you can check out. There's even some adorable onesies for the little ones, cause you can never start supporting artists too young.
